Small Groups Ministry

What are Small Groups?

Simply put, small groups are about being encircled by 'your people' about Jesus. People whom you share things in common with like interests, values, life experiences, season of life, and so on...

This Fall, we are thrilled to launch 4 short-term small groups. These groups are a gateway to meeting others who might be 'your people'. People whom you may want to be in a long-term group with:

Circle Up ... Small Groups that thrive have a strong culture of TRUST. This 4-week study explores and experiences what that can look like for you. Contact is Pastor Noel.

MAiD ... How do we navigate the complexities around medically-assisted in dying, in particular, when someone we know is considering this option? Contact is Pastor Carol.

Finance ... Inflation and high-interest rates are increasing the cost of living for all of us. What is God's plan when it comes to managing our finances in peak times and lean times? Contact is Pastor Matt.

Couples Marriage Enrichment ... Charles & Elsa Deleeuw have a deep background in coming alongside married couples. This is a 'must-join' group for couples who are looking to build a healthy marriage for the long haul. Contact is Pastor Carol.

Interested in one of these? Contact the church office (office@mycac.ca or 604-792-0051) with the group that you're intersted in.

Join in. Find your people. Grow deep with Jesus.

Which group is right for you?

Short-Term

4 to 6 weeks

Either in-person or via Zoom, it’s a great way to meet people with whom you may want to build a long-term small group. We run two short-term small groups a year: one in the fall and one early in the new year.

Long-Term

Weekly or Bi-weekly

Groups of 8 to 12 like-minded people that meet in a home or a third space (such as the church, a coffee shop, or an office) to connect in meaningful ways about Jesus.

Cluster Groups

Regular Basis

3 to 4 people that meet when and where they like. It’s simple, fluid, yet intentional. It fits even the busiest lifestyle, and is a great foundation for building a long-term group of 8 to 12 people.

Virtual Groups

Shorter Meetings

With no travel required, and shorter meeting times, group members can connect from anywhere. With training, virtual groups can connect as meaningfully about Jesus as in-person.

Why join or build a Small Group?

As a church of small groups, we want to help you connect with your people. Studies show that people are much healthier mentally, physically, and spiritually when they connect in meaningful ways about Jesus.
