We are excited to invite you to the second workshop of our 3-part Fresh Encounter series on going deeper with God using some of the ancient practices of contemplative prayer. Jeremiah 6:16: Stop and consider the Ancient path…and you will find rest for your soul.
We are looking at Ignatian Contemplative Prayer with our special guest speaker, Dr. Dan Heavenor, His passion and calling is to walk with others as they seek after God, ask their questions and live their journey with God in all its complexity and uniqueness. Dan received his MDiv from Regent College and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Ignatian Spirituality at Carey Theological College.
These workshops are intended to build on one another. However, you are welcome to join us at our upcoming March 20 event even if you missed our February event on Reflective reading of Scripture (Lectio Divina). The Lectio h/o is available on the website under the Encounter banner.
In April, the series will culminate with a day retreat at our beautiful Camp Kawkawa.
More details TBA.
To Hear the Whisper of God we must turn down the volume of the world. Find time to disconnect from everything around you and be still in His presence…He is waiting for you to draw near. ~Anonymous~
